JOAN WOOLINE

Joan is an educator with multiple years of teaching and administrative experience in public, private, and college environments. She began her association with Bea Young Associates in 2005 when her district implemented a Cultural Audit. Based on this study, the district learned the need to focus on Equity which gave her the resources, experience and competence to create equitable schools as a principal and district administrator.

Currently, she is honing her consulting expertise at the college level, teaching courses focusing on Educational Equity and mentoring future principals to incorporate Equity into continuous school improvement which leads to the creation of specific goals and action plans which become tools for helping students raise their levels of achievement.

Joan has a BA in Elementary Education from Saint Xavier University and an MA in Education and Type 75 from the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana.
