MARIA ELENA MEDINA

Maria is a seasoned bilingual (English/Spanish) and multicultural professional with more than eighteen years of non-profit, corporate and multicultural sales, marketing and advertising experience combined with over twelve years of diversity consulting, training, recruitment, project management, event planning  and community relations expertise.

She  has worked with Bea Young for almost a decade. Maria Elena works with organizations, municipalities, schools, churches, businesses and communities to educate and integrate Latino citizens and other diverse groups into mainstream America and help close the language and cultural communication gap to form a successful multicultural society.

She has held leadership positions, including connecting Hispanic professionals with employment opportunities,  with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE).As a first generation Mexican-American, Maria Elena has a passion for helping people and organizations grow, improve and succeed.

As a certified interpreter and translator, Maria Elena works fervently to eliminate language and cultural barriers while bringing out the best in people’s abilities and talents. In 2007, Maria Elena was recognized as a Top 25 Star for the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement’s 25th Anniversary in Chicago, honoring the contributions made by top individuals to the organization. She was also recently honored by the Chicago Fire Soccer League as a Hispanic Hero and also received the Hispanic Heritage Month Leadership Award for her community involvement by the City of Chicago, Commission on Human Relations.
